Detectives on the scene tell News 12 they found 7 grams of cocaine and a firearm inside the man’s vehicle early this morning.
Police say they traced his vehicle after an attempted murder near High Street in Hempstead.
"What brings us to this location is an attempted murder that occurred two nights ago. Stabbing and assaults that occurred on multiple people. We did a retail investigation on this vehicle here. Contained inside, 7 grams of cocaine. Packed to resell it. The suspect we have arrested is a Trinitario gang member,” says Det. Sgt. John Schmitt, Nassau Police Gang Investigation Squad.
Detectives say the suspect, who has not been identified, faces charges for a weapon with the intention to sell.
A press conference is expected later today.
