A Port Jefferson woman is hoping for a life-saving donor.
Courtney Kidd, 37, is in need of a new liver after being diagnosed with a rare condition called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, or PSC. She was diagnosed with Crohn's disease when she was 14 and started showing signs of liver disease when she was 27.
Kidd said she has been on the donor list for three years, but is still looking for a match.
"I never know if there's someone close to being a liver donor for me," she said. "I will only know if I get the call, 'Hey, we found a liver donor.' Otherwise, it's a lot of waiting and a lot of living in limbo."
