A Brooklyn man is accused of cashing a stolen check in Valley Stream.
Police say Marc Lindor intercepted a legitimate check in the mail for $1.7 million and then forged his name on it.
The 44-year-old then deposited the check and made multiple withdrawals totaling $470,000.
Lindor was arrested following an investigation.
Lindor is charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
